What meds are you taking? IF you are taking meds, sounds like they are not compatible with alcohol.

Moderation and this:

Tetany might do this, or more precisely low magnesium levels. It would make sense if you have panic attacks. If you have tetany, you can drink just a small amount of alcohol and already feel kind of drunk, dizzy, lightheaded and strange with altered perception. I can't say as if you were on drugs because I have never taken any but this is how I imagine it. Maybe that is what derealization is.

I am a pre diabetic and to keep my A1C blood sugar number in line I take Ozempic. I don't drink very often, but every now and then I enjoy a couple of drinks. Back at New Year's I had two mixed drinks. First I got sick and had the squirt's. While I was sitting on the toilet I started sweating. Then I passed out and woke up on the floor. Are you taking any medications? That could be your problem.

I've definitely noticed my body's ability to tank a few drinks fell off a cliff a few years ago. It's like when I hit thirty a switch was flipped.

I still drink the same amount(if not more) but I pay my dues by the end of it
