America - just getting too old for the travel, I have been twice and enjoyed our time

New York City
idontcareok · 70-79, M
@Gibbon the fingerlakes region is voted as one of the best vacations spots
AthrillatheHunt · 56-60, M
@Gibbon respectfully , you must be joking that the upstate region pays for anything, unless you mean they “pay the price “ for being subsidized by NYC taxpayers . It sure is beautiful up there , but Rochester Albany Buffalo Syracuse Utica Binghamton are no economy depressed shitholes .

@Ozdharma wow talk about off the beaten path. What brought you there. ?
Ozdharma · 61-69, M
@AthrillatheHunt It was a trip along the silk road through china Krygistan and Uzbekistan. They wanted a $300 bribe to leave there and took my luggage off the plane and was stuck for 3 days.

Canajoharie, New York. When I was a little girl, our car broke down there while I was traveling with my parents. The auto mechanic where we stopped had a brick wall, with poison ivy growing all over it, and I was HEAVILY cautioned not to go near it. It was a very, very long and boring wait for our car to be repaired...and while we were waiting, my little dog managed to get in to the poison ivy, unbeknownst to anyone.

SO...after we were on our way, my little dog cuddled up next to my mother's legs in the front seat...and you can guess what happened!!! 🤣🤣🤣

NYC. That place is filthy.
AbbeyRhode · F
New York City. It was nice when I went, clean and safe, and with so much to see. Now it's a miserable commie hellhole. You couldn't pay me to go there.
cherokeepatti · 70-79, F
@AbbeyRhode it’s so expensive I would never consider going there for a visit. Even before the Commie took over as mayor.

Very close, too close. Baltimore. What a 💩 hole place to be. The inner harbor doesn't make up for the nasty place.
AthrillatheHunt · 56-60, M
Buffalo and Cleveland. 2 cities competing for the title of “mistake on the lake “
not sure i've found such a place yet but there's time!
katydidnt · 61-69, F
Branson, Missouri. We were summoned there, kicking and screaming, by relatives who insisted we meet for a mini-reunion. A wasted frittering of time.
cherokeepatti · 70-79, F
@katydidnt too touristy and commercialized now?
katydidnt · 61-69, F
@cherokeepatti I thought it was when we were there several years ago. But that's the reason "Branson" is not just Branson; the commerce is its reason to exist. My comment wasn't one-size-fits-all--it was my personal observation based on my own value judgment. I'd readily believe that my vote is a minority opinion.
carpediem · M
Jamacia. They prey on you.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
There's no such place, tbh. I'd go anywhere where I've been before.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but I wouldn't choose to got to Winnipeg again.
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
@JimboSaturn Winterpeg?
