I have a helplessly disabled adult son, to whom I am the sole caregiver. Amazon is right up my alley, and although Amazon is probably worse on the retail economy than Wal-Mart, I'm glad to know of the negative impact Amazon has had on Walmart.
What amazes me is that some of the wealthiest people on the planet got that way by selling stuff they didn't make and transporting it half way around the planet and now delivering to our doorsteps.
I haven't looked into it in many years, but 4 of the top 10 or 20 wealthiest people in world used to be Waltons (owners of Wal-Mart). They each had their own position on the list. To generate that much wealth from riding the backs of people who can barely make their ends meet is shameful
