I'm tired of having barely any alone time

I wish I could afford to live alone. Living with my mom is suffocating. I either have to wake up at 2am for alone time or wait until she goes to bed for alone time. Plus she's always been a prison warden needing to know where I'm going each time. It doesn't matter if I'm an adult and it doesn't matter how many times i explain to her that fact i might as well still be in highschool.

I've "stayed over" at work just for alone time. Basically means I'm sitting at a park or in my car for alone time. I'm going insane. I just wish it were possible to live solo without having to have a white collar high paying job. Average joe's deserve to survive too.

Makes one think about how moms go from being able to have their son/daughter live out of the house and then they have no say to anything we do to then going back to being a warden once you move back in.

How is that even possible?? 🤣

@separatetheheart They're like that. I know what you're saying. I couldn't wait to get back out on my own again either (similar situation in the past.) I eventually did and you probably will too.

Try not to let her drive you crazy in the meantime.

For me, I could not have my own room until I was in high school and had to Beg, BEG for a room of my own. We had a 2 story farm house, but the upstairs was used for storage. One bedroom was downstairs, which was my parents bedroom. My bed was just outside their room in the living room area. All my clothes were kept in parents closet. My Mom gave me my clothes for the day, HER choice, not mine!
My Mom even called my work to have me bring home sugar for her for baking. That went NOT WELL with my Boss and co-workers on a custodian job at the time.
Don't think she is able to tell God what to do! She passed away a few years ago. 😇
Have you considered an apartment to rent?
The insane asylum is NOT a good Alone Time place! Hope you find peace before this happens,
