What does someone do with grits?

I went to the food pantry because I more than qualify and in the box I got I received two large packages of grits. No idea how to cook them or what to do with them. I've heard of shrimp and grits but I don't like shrimp.

We cook grits like oatmeal and serve with lots of butter, salt and pepper. We always eat grits with eggs.
