Feeling paranoid today, but should I?

Went to pick up some meds for me and Pantera (my cat, not the band) and the guy behind the counter asked me, as usual "so, you haven't changed your name yet?" then smiles mischievously.

He's the only one of the employees who asks me that, and he doesn't ask anyone else I know (I've asked around)

Does he know I'm trans? If so, how does he know? I'm not out officially yet. Only a select few knows irl.
I've no idea who he is besides his first name and where he works, and as far as I can tell we have no mutual friends.

Only logical explanation I can think of atm is he was there when I had the psychotic episode in a bar december 2024.
I might have been more open about being trans that night, but I honestly don't remember.

The episode in short version:
I went out drinking with a friend. After sending her home cause she was too drunk I don't remember anything before waking up in the psych ward.

That's no one's business. They shouldn't be asking you that in the first place. It's intrusive.

On another note , try to not be paranoid a both what one person thinks. If he asks you again I'd report to HR for harassment.

@greensnacks It just bothers me that I don't know why he keeps asking. The action itself is harmless, and being a health care worker he's not allowed to share any of my info, so reporting him seems a bit harsh.

Maybe I should just bite the proverbial bullet and ask him next time.
