Aging is a mortal enemy…it is working against us. Aging sabotages us in many ways…it damages our cells, dna, and mitochondria. It causes osteoporosis and fractures, and wrinkles our skin. Old age makes us prone to deadly diseases. Therefore, old age should be treated aggressively.

Dr. Sinclair, Ph.D. wrote a book called Lifespan, in which he talks about having aged mice, and then returning them to their original younger states…ice mice!

@Wiseacre there is some data to suggest intermittent fasting might actually be good for health. There are some who claim rapamycin can be life prolonging, but it's licensed use is for anti-rejection

Right on, with lots of side effects, however, once a week is recommended for anti aging. Intermittent fasting promotes autophagy, which is necessary for good health. As we age, everything slows down. Therefore, we need boosts in every way we can. Metformin is a senolytic, which aids autophagy thru the AMPK pathway. @samueltyler2

Aging sucks big time. We have to treat it aggressively like a killer disease.
