If you went out to eat at a restaurant and somehow you forgot your wallet and couldn't pay

Would the cops be called on you or might be told don't comeback?

I do not think there is much the restaurant or cops could really do.

I imagine in most cases the customer could just agree to come back and resolve the bill.
