I will finally have a car.

My brother is getting a new one because he thinks his car is getting too high millage. I think he is approaching 100,000 for a 2019. He will be giving it to me so that's one positive thing.

I hope you have lots of money because you're going to need it!

@swirlie Can't be any worse than my old car. That thing broke down often

Do you drive great distances or just short but frequent trips?

@swirlie I usually drive around town. Very few long road trips or if I do go further out usually an hour away max

Okay, your profile doesn't say where you're from and because this is an international website, it isn't obvious which standard of measure you're talking about. If your profile said you were an American, then I wouldn't have asked the question.

To your car: 100,000 miles on the odometer means the car is about 50,000 miles beyond the manufacturer's original warranty period in most cases, which also means the car is approaching its expiration date.

Having said that, expect things to start needing replacement sooner than later because everything will begin to fail at close to the same time. If your brother has already looked after this prior to giving you his car, then there's no problem.
