What do you think about fireworks?

Loved them as a youngster but they annoy the hell out of me now.

Wouldn't be so bad if it was kept to one weekend but people let them off from late October through January generally and they don't seem to care what time of night/early morning.

The 4th of July is massive in my town. There are probably 4-5 semi-professional fireworks displays within a two block radius in my neighborhood.

We can just sit by the pool (or in it) and watch displays from almost every direction. It’s pretty cool. The police don’t care, which is cool too.

Professional ones at specific places and on special days are okay. The rest is annoying and unnecessary.

They are only legal here on certain holidays, but they are allowed until 2:00 a.m. Why not cut it off at 12:30?

They used to be great when they varied, now they just explode so they're a bit boring.
