Would you rather have a bird or a fish as a pet?

I'd rather have a mammal. If I had to get one or the other it would depend on my available time. If I was busy like now I'd get a fish that just needs feeding and is available to look at. If I were retired I'd get an interesting bird, like a parrot. We know a guy who always walks around with his parrot on his shoulder.

Between the two, I’d say fish. My preference would be neither, because I don’t want anything else to clean and maintain.
