Would you go out to see a movie by yourself?

Movie theater seats are sold as single units to a show. Why would you feel the need to take anyone with you unless of course, you were afraid of being seen alone in public without a date?

@swirlie and what’s wrong with that? Some people think being alone is failure. I used to think that now I’m not so sure. But if I didn’t have what I have, I would probably feel failure.

What's wrong with what? What are you referring to?

@swirlie being afraid to be seen in public without a date.

Oh sure! But what you said was also my point! That's why I said "Why would you feel the need to take anyone with you unless of course, you were afraid of being seen alone in public without a date?".

@swirlie I think I would be afraid of being seen alone like I have no one. Not even a friend. But of course that is not my problem. But if it was.
@Jonjdw
The vast majority of people go to a movie theater alone, not with someone else. It never actually occurred to me to go to a movie with another person or even with a group of people.
