Are there people who just give off vibes that make you uncomfortable but you can't explain what exactly it is about them that gives off those vibes?

Last summer my nieces came over to swim in the pool my apartment complex has. There was this lone older man who gave off vibes I didn't care for he just seemed creepy to me. He never did anything but there was just something about him that made me uncomfortable. The entire time my nieces enjoyed the pool I kept tabs on that man until he eventually left after awhile. I've only ever felt that exact feeling one other time at a park when I was a kid. My brother and I were playing at the park down the street from where we lived with our mother. I was always the shy one and was abandoned while he ran around with other kids. I hung back and noticed a lone man long hair in a ponytail rather scruffy looking potentially homeless. He just sat on the bench and watched the kids. Could have been harmless but his vibe I didn't trust it felt odd. I felt compelled to watch this man. Eventually I told my big brother I wanted to go home. I saw him a few times at that park and he did the same thing each time and each time I felt compelled to keep an eye on him.

The police will tell you in self-defense classes for the public to always trust your instincts. He told of some incidents that happened and the victims had said that they had a strange feeling but didn’t know why and that they ignored them and ended up as victims.

There’s a small park about 6 blocks from where I live. It has some benches, a couple of grills to barbecue on and some play equipment, a very small park but a pretty one. I used to walk in that area because it was low traffic. It backs up to a strip of woods. The last time I walked there I got a very strange feeling like someone’s eyes was watching me. I hurried up and went back home and never felt safe to return. A couple years later my neighbor, who is a tall & large woman, told me she had the same experience when she was walking around the outside the park. I told her that it happened to me and I never went back. It had never happened to me before that. I believe that some homeless are sleeping in those woods and Walmart is only a short walk away. They probably go over there and eat their way through the store, drink from the outdoor hydrant for the landscaping products and steal spray paint to sniff when they get back to the woods.

@cherokeepatti Sounds about right there is a park in town where a lot of them go camp out in at night. I know exactly what you are describing.

@separatetheheart There are a lot of wooded areas around this city that are camp sites for them. As soon as the property owners get the police involved and clean up the site they move on to another one, or else come back and put up more tents and trash it (especially if they don’t bull doze or brush hog the overgrown trees. Makes it easier to check if people driving by can see inside the area and see that it is being used to camp in. There was one 4 blocks from here and the property owner got it cleaned out about 6 months ago. He is trying to sell the corner lot and it is wood, it is zoned for business.
