Someone has roosters nearby in my birth town near my mom's house. I'm there just now and then so I don't mind at all. Actually, it creates nice ambience.
My neighbor does has a number of chicken, and I believe had at least two roosters.
Lucky, while their driveway is right next to me, their actual house is about a mile down the driveway and I don't have to hear the roosters much except if they roam my way well past morning.
But I once babysat for a family that had neighbors with roosters, and I wanted someone to kill those things when they were being so darn noisy in the morning.
Something comforting about the sounds of life, regardless of when ... the rumbling of a different train, the sound of rain, thunder, roosters, trash collectors.
The rooster? I love being awoken briefly so I can reflect on the joy of being able to back to sleep. An awareness that I'd have missed were it not for the rooster.
oh gosh...that actually happened to me. i posted it on here. i kind of grew fond of the guy but my brother hated him because he was crowing under my brother's window at 6am
@nedkelly once kfc in the UK got someone's order wrong. So they drove through the drive in lane and threw a live chicken through the collection window.
