came to suggest green slime. or do the patch work yourself; it seems it's always too close to the sidewall for shops even when its in the middle of the tire. just one of the push in plug patches, not the 'pull it off the rim' sort.

That happened to me. Unfortunately, the tire pancaked while I was driving. I had ONE free service left on my Allstate roadside service, so I called and had them put the donut on the rim.
Then I drove straight over to Walmart and bought the cheapest tire they had whose brand name I recognized...Goodyear. The old tire was too worn to be worth repairing.
It wiped out my savings, and I had to dip a little way into my bill money...but I recovered.

You might try something like Fix-a-Flat. I had to use that for a while, and I went through like a can a month for a while, but it got me through.
@DunningKruger Yea, a plug AND fix a flat, will be all set.

@buriedalive They should be able to correct that.

@buriedalive how? You just take the nail out and put the plug in 😅

Put the Slime tire patch stuff in your tire. Or fix a flat, but slime works better

Playing with your safety doing that
Stuff a plug in it, should be fine.
