I was told it was weird that I'm nearly 50 and have zero kids. How is that weird? Wouldn't that be a bonus or a positive

A lady I was talking to said it was weird. Personally wouldn't that be a bonus in dating someone? No ex to deal with or kids that might give you a hard time. Kids are just something that never came to be in my life. I don't hate kids but it just never happened and in a way I'm glad because given my past no way would I have been a good parent.

I'm 31 and am single and have no kids. Men can still have kids in their 50s and beyond, it's not like we have a biological clock. What's the rush for? I don't plan to have kids or get married and that's nobody business but mine, and Idc what others think about that.

I'm in my 60s with no children. I don't think it's weird at all. Not everyone wants children or for whatever reason it wasn't in the cards.

@deepblacknothingness Are you married?

i'm in my 50s and my mom would sometimes bring up she wished she was a grandmother but didn't push it on me too much....a different story for a female friend though....her mom gives her the guilt trip and makes her feel really bad about it

i find it annoying how some/most people seem to think having kids is some kind of mandatory goal in life. newsflash: you can be happy and successful WITHOUT having kids. if you have or want kids then great, good for you…. but i’ve never wanted them and won’t be pressured into doing so because apparently it’s “the norm”. i like to be able to do what i want when i want. i like my money to be my own money. that all stops when kids come into the mix.
@Strongtea There are enough people on the planet. We don't need any more. She can do whatever she wants without it being selfish.

Ok, I’m sorry for saying it.@Pineapple

I think a lot of men don't want kids even if they did they could later in life, i think that comment was made because us women are looking at it from our point of view not all but most women know they want children.
In today’s world having kids will give you great angst. The future is uncertain and any parents who have children need to realize that!
I'm 51, and I never had kids because I didn't want them.

She's weird for calling you weird.

I’m the same as you.

@MrBrownstone Glad I'm not alone in this

@buriedalive I know a couple others like us.
Bonus!! 😂 😂
One of the best decisions I've ever made not having kids. She was probably some old fashioned Catholic.

She's weird for thinking every single person in the world should have kids 😅 that just sounds like a bad idea

My wife was very honest. In our second week of dating she told me she couldn't have kids.
