Do you believe in survival of the fittest in terms of intelligence, physicality and the ability to adapt ??

The concept of "survival of the fittest" is greatly misunderstood usually.
The question is, how does a species fit into an ecosystem?
If a species A has a reproduction rate of 1.01, and another B has 0.99, then after 100 generations the ratio A/B =7.4, and after 1000 generation, A/B = 500,000,000.
In other words, B is extinct after 1000 generations There's no pain, no fight, no violence. Species B simply disappears over time because it fits a tiny little bit less into the ecosystem.
@helenS I mean I go for smart women because I’m cute, not because I’m loaded. Hahahahaha

Mostly I think.
Not anymore. We take care of others who are not able to do so themselves.

I believe that if we ALLOW survival of the fittest to become the criteria for survival, our world will become more primitive, and MUCH more cruel...but the human race will become much stronger.

Do you mean in terms of human society?
@JimboSaturn I’m just glad for the both of us that whoever was responsible for passing on the red haired gene, was able to do so. LOL

are we not just hairless apes ?? LOL

"Actually, humans and chimpanzees have an almost identical number of hair follicles. However, just like the difference between men and women, (who also have the same number of hair follicles), the thickness of hair differs between the two species, and even between the two sexes."

@YourMomsSecretCrush The topic is complex, but a somewhat simplistic answer is that the relevant genes are autosomal recessive... you had to get them from both your parents (although they need not be redheads, of course)

If I did I wouldn’t be here to have an opinion.
Very..

While we’re at it

Let’s remove all the warning labels and let Darwinism sort itself out
No. We're in the anthropocene- killers rule. Unless you mean the geopolitical situation. That's where killer's rule.
@Roundandroundwego in this rare instance, I do actually agree with you. LOL

Maybe in early human times, but these days the people in power aren’t necessarily the most physically or intellectually fit.
Effeciency and mental fortitude, not artificial intelligence

@V00doo
So, you're one of the ones who they left outside for the wolves to feed on?

No, not at all because it's a myth. Take Donald J. Trump for example. He is not intelligent but somehow he survived for 78 years so far.

@OogieBoogie basically do you believe Darwin’s “natural selection” also applies to humans as well. Individually as well groups. And you are right, it takes both physicality as well as intelligence and even a bit of luck to move forward.
@YourMomsSecretCrush i used to belive in Darwinism....but i dont any more.

Survival of a species i think was more chance and opportunity, than it was brains amd brawn.

Theres just too many factors involved.

Like look at the fall of past empires. They hit their peak of dominance ....then failed.
Others wiped out by bacteria.

Nope....i think survival is hit and miss.
We can try ....but it doesnt mean we'll win.
@OogieBoogie no empire lasts forever. They all eventually figure out a way to destroy themselves and then someone else gets a turn till their time is up. But as an individual I think I’ll take my chances by learning as much as possible and staying fit. Then again, I could get hit in a head on tomorrow. Hopefully not though.

@helenS Of course it all about belief. Your question is based on your faith.
helenS · 36-40, F
@hippyjoe1955 Let's say we agree to disagree ok? 🌷
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@helenS Of course your faith is way to fragile to enter into serious debate on the subject.
