Depends on the store. Walmart’s Great Value canned fruits & vegetables generally come up short compared to Aldi’s house brand. And the Great Value pasta comes up short on weight. Walmart is also getting some of their canned items from China, no thanks to that. Canned pumpkin was something that I noticed recently. Some of the jams that are sold at Aldi are imported from Germany and don’t contain corn syrup. Little things like that I noticed recently and prefer.

I’m not brand or off-brand exclusive. It really depends on a ton of things, including how I’m feeling. If it’s something with ingredients, I’d check those first to see if that will make my decision easier. Then there’s whether the packaging of one suits my needs more than the other. If it came down to two things, and the only difference seemed to be price, I’ll go for the cheaper one. Unless I familiar with the brand name and I’m not in the mood to chance trying the store brand.

It really depends on the product and store. For a lot of things I'm good with store brand. Plenty of foods are just fine with store brand. I tend to like target's goodfellow brand for men's clothing. But there are a few times it doesn't work out. As an example, Winn-Dixie's (a regional grocery store) Chek sodas are good. But if I'm at Kroger, I don't like there's so much and might spring for the name brand. Walmart store brand I've pretty much finished with for anything I would expect to keep for a while. Last pair of Walmart shoes I bought barely lasted six months.
I give most everything a cost to quality comparison and decide that way. It's a fiction that name brands are always higher quality. But store brands also very so much that you have to treat each one differently.

I go for stuff I know that is good because I already tried it somewhere before. With new things, I go for anything that seems like it will be good (according to ingredients, price, the product package and the smell if it's possible) and I often pick the price in the middle or the product on discount. Although, idk why but I'm often prejudiced against store brand products. Probably because of some bad experiences as a kid. They're usually cheaper knock-offs of more famous brands.

Store brand. The only Brand favorite I ever had was Keebler Cinnamon Grahams. Best Graham crackers ever made. Clueless why they stopped.

Store brand as my friend gets an employee discount so I just use his number to get it

Just depends on if I like it. Usually that’s the case.

Fun fact, most store brands are made by the name brands

Brand names always. Store brands are not required to maintain consistent quality in their named product.
I am very brand loyal, I have never been a fan of generics.
