If a homeless person asked for a beer would you get one for them?

I would now. I once asked a homeless dude if I could get him some food. He said no but wanted me to go to the offlicense (where he was banned from) and get him a beer. I said no and he said I was patronizing him and eventually cried. I'm not going through that again, I just buy em damn beer next time.
