Work is work, money is money, I hate when people frown upon others for working service jobs.
TempuraShrimp · 26-30, M
@XForbiddenDesiresX i do too but it happens all the time
Matt85 · 36-40, M
i think they're a good and respectful company to work for
TempuraShrimp · 26-30, M
@Matt85 maybe overseas but not in the usa
tallpowerhouseblonde · 36-40, F
Embarrassed about it? That will pass when people you know start a conversation with you at work. You do what you need to do to earn a wage.
Better than being homeless. Go for it man. Don’t worry about people
Vixon · 22-25, F
Maybe try and apply for some work from home jobs?
twistedrope · 26-30, M
Work is work buddy, as another has said yeah. Get that bag and don't compare yourself with others. We all gots our own struggles.
ButterRobot · 51-55, M
Yes, I’d be hesitant. But you do what you have to do
BrewCityBarfly · M
If circumstances had taken me in that direction back then, I would be hesitant. I know at 28 I'd have been more sensitive to any chatter. Thing is, in the end, you need to do what's right for yourself.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
Yes.
I've only worked one fast food job and that was in high school.
I'd say just don't stay too long, unless you want to be the manager or franchise owner.
Work towards whatever your goal is

@TempuraShrimp If you play your cards right you could end up as a manager. You have your foot in the door so take advantage of it. That will be about $67,000 a year right now.

I understand how you feel but a job is a job. You shouldn’t feel ashamed to be working, especially how terrible the economy is right now 👍🏻
You’ll do great, and look at the perks, like free fries 🍟😋

I understand how you feel. Ask if you can work in the back where there's minimum exposure.

Yep for all the same reasons.

There are better paying jobs.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Service industry jobs are hard work with little appreciation.
You have to put up with rubbish company policy and often worse Management....at ALL levels.
So kudos to you for wanting to give it a go.
If it were me i think I'd have a timescale in which to try and work within.
In such environments it's good to earn a living but keep your eyes open for better.

Make money
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
Yes, mostly because I loathe the general public and there's plenty of remote data entry jobs to be had.

A job is a job and if you don’t have to drive as far that’s even better.
