Work is work, money is money, I hate when people frown upon others for working service jobs.

Embarrassed about it? That will pass when people you know start a conversation with you at work.You do what you need to do to earn a wage.

Service industry jobs are hard work with little appreciation.
You have to put up with rubbish company policy and often worse Management....at ALL levels.
So kudos to you for wanting to give it a go.

If it were me i think I'd have a timescale in which to try and work within.
In such environments it's good to earn a living but keep your eyes open for better.

If circumstances had taken me in that direction back then, I would be hesitant. I know at 28 I'd have been more sensitive to any chatter. Thing is, in the end, you need to do what's right for yourself.

I've only worked one fast food job and that was in high school.

I'd say just don't stay too long, unless you want to be the manager or franchise owner.
