What's working in a call center like? Is it as bad as people say?

I'm tempted to try applying for one
I worked in a different kind of one where we didn’t deal directly with customers. So the working experience might be different. But the culture might be the same. My first week on the job, a woman messaged me to say I was disrupting the workplace by taking her friend’s cubicle. I also had a supervisor email me from a couple cubicles down that I wasn’t allowed to have an open drink at the computers. I get it, but I was looking around for where he was watching me from. 😂😬
Bathroom breaks had to be scheduled. Time on calls was monitored. Some calls were monitored randomly to make sure we really were doing our jobs.
They bought stuff for the break room though. DVDs and an Xbox, dart board, foosball, keurig machine, etc.

If you are thinking of applying for one, then you must have an idea you may like it, so try it.

I personally was in the combat arms in the Army 27 years and love it, and not to everyone else's choice though, so try what you may like.

I worked at an outbound call center for almost 5 weeks, before getting fired for swearing. (It was always after they hung up, but it was on record so yea). It takes a special person with a good attitude to do that job, and I def don’t for the criteria
