@BunnyWarrior The software for fully autonomous vehicles has not proven to be 100% safe. Some can not maneuver on roads that lack the necessary striping that the software uses as a guide.

In the future, perhaps....but not yet.
@JSul3 it isnt 100% safe.,.. but it is 1000 times safer then humans... humans are complete garbage at driving cars... thousands get killed by those every year. before

@BunnyWarrior You are passing moral judgements to software.
Ok....so, when an accident occurs, who is liable.....the car company and their software failure or the licensed driver?

Do we need drivers license when 'riding' in this type of vehicle now?
@JSul3 thats legal formalities that people should get sorted out that know better about that stuff then i do. i am talking about the technical side here and its very clear that AI controlled cars drive safer then human controlled cars. which isnt why the AI is so great, but because humans are so terrible at it.
so the real discussion should be if we should just ban all humans from driving cars. if cars would only be just invented right now there is no way they would be allowed to become such a big part of life and society.

@BunnyWarrior Those "legal formalities" have to be decided before we move forward.
There are many roads that are not properly marked. We are a long way away from going 100% self driving cars.

Look at the number of Tesla crashes.
