Have you ever said no to donating?

@Musicman I’ve been getting a call each and every month for years from a scam outfit based in Texas. They are either calling for injured law enforcement officers or disabled Veterans or something like that. Same man calls here every time, he has a unique deep voice. I asked him a couple years ago exactly how much of the donations go to the Veteran’s. He started stammering and saying “Uh, well it’s like this. We have to pay for our overheard before we use the money to benefit the Veteran’s” I asked him exactly how much was their overhead. He says “91% of donations. I told him “SHAME ON YOU…you only give 9% to the Veterans and use them to raise money”. He says “I’m sorry” and hung up. But he’s not sorry enough to stop calling people here.

@cherokeepatti I have seen charities with as little as 2% going to the actual charity. As for any of these charities I don't see why any of their executive staff needs million dollar salaries with million dollar bonuses.
