I’ve read that gluten intolerance might exacerbate lupus. My daughter developed lupus as a young teen and now wondering if it was affecting her. I have a gluten intolerance and went GF about 7 years ago. The rough bumpy skin on my upper arms went away and I never linked it to gluten ingestion until I heard a doctor saying if you have gluten intolerance as an adult and you had that bumpy “chicken skin” on the upper arms from the time you were young then you had gluten-intolerance all of your life. Makes sense to me.

On the bright side, you can still eat bread.
