Like any sort of life, there are those who just "are" and those who are "loud and proud".
The loud and proud ones are typically resented by the people who just "are".

@LordShadowfire it is true that the extremist in any sort of group are the ones that end up in the media. I don't want to say her name here but there is a transgender woman who is a hardcore conservative that has a lucrative YouTube channel. And yes, most of the transgender Community is pretty unhappy with her.
