Im from Saudi and been in the Uk for 4 months so far

Have not seen a single Drive thru atm since I came here.
In Saudi there there is at least 1 in every street 😂
I think it’s the heat and ppl not wanting to leave their car that made drive thru atms popular in Saudi .

Are drive thru atms popular where you are from ?

@Moon3624 Not a drive-through one. ATM's are getting harder to find here as banks are rapidly scaling back their physical branch presence (which usually means any atm at the branch goes away also) and trying to force customers to do more and more 'business' with them online or via the phone.

We have them in the U.S., and they get a lot of use, but it sounds as if they are more densely distributed in Saudi Arabia than here. Lots of people here pay for almost everything with credit cards and do not use cash often.

Saudis don’t use cash often either . Barely used it in Saudi.
I think it’s more common in Saudi due to heat
It’s more convenient to drive thru atms

Never seen one in Germany either probably because they would be easy targets to get robbed
