Why do you think that things that you don't use in lots of years get damaged?

Or abandoned houses start crumbling? Even if they're not that old?
Same with some shoes and clothing
They need your love and energy.

I try to take better care of things these days.

They need your love and energy.
Absolutely right!😇👍
@SoLeRiMix It’s a symbiotic relationship

Philosophically speaking, every thing needs a connection. With no connection, things become obsolete. Therefore, the life in them begins to perish. We humans feel the same if left alone.

A structure built with bricks is House. When a family or couple moves in, it becomes Home. Family gives it a strong reason to feel lively.🙏😇

Scientifically speaking, anything when not in use tends to have less air contact and it begins to attract microorganisms that feast on it and ultimately rot in it leading to the formation of algae and fungi. Therefore, damage begins and continues until restoration.😇

@SW-User You're a good soul basis the little I know you.😇
You're not obsolete if you don't comment. You spend time here and your posts are worth reading. That's not the sign of being obsolete.😇
Nothing in this world deserves to be obsolete. Sadly, eras do become obsolete and we read them as history later.
Being progressive is equally important.😇

@SoLeRiMix i meant connect *
SoLeRiMix · 31-35, M
@SW-User I am sure there's something feel connected to. You might not have found the strong connection you're looking for but we all do find connection with people and things in this world.😇

Lots of reasons, the lubricants evaporate, the plastic degrades. Nature takes over…

Kinda encouraging in a way.
SW-User
@ButterRobot encouraging how 👀
ButterRobot · 51-55, M
@SW-User that no matter how much we screw over the environment, given time, it takes it back
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
Well I'm not a fashion designer or a house constructor but I know about cars. If you let them sit too long, all the parts become sedentary and break down.

It could also be a psychological thing. Like, we notice more when abandoned buildings crumble... I can think of parts of my very nice apartment building that are crumbled, but no one hardly notices because they just replaced the siding and windows.

They need to be cared for...shoes need to be dusted and shined etc...otherwise they dry out...plus maybe they're lonely 😕
SW-User
@fun4us2b yep seems that that constant movement keeps them in better shape
I don't know why, but it discourages people to buy things they don't need and that's good.
SW-User
@NerdyPotato mm yep with shopping there are lots of extremes
They need the energy of the field to maintain their coherence.
Without the presence of living beings, that energy isn't transferred.
Livingwell · 61-69, M
Scientifically entropy. Could be environmental too. Houses suffer from that.
It's a great observation. I've noticed the same with vehicles.

@uncalled4 interesting, and that's surely a reason
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
Temperature shifting causing expansions and contractions in the material causing mechanical wearing and radiation exposure mostly, but that's just a thought
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst yep if you don't open a window for years it gets stuck
