Is there such a thing as your real self or does your self change as time passes and given the circumstances you are in?

I think about that when I hear people say they are trying to figure there self out and find out who they are.

I think I’m a person who changes with each different situation. Yet some people say I knew you were going to do that. That confuses me. Because I thought I even was surprised that I did that.

I know it’s hard to follow my reply.

there is a true self, most certainly. Though, the unvarnished truth of ones self, unmitigated by meditation, causes many to go mad

I think your self changes over time and circumstances do dictate what you show. Your real self is what you are feeling at the moment

You adapt to whatever environment you're in
