Is it bad to be a "fence sitter"?

In an issue

When you refuse to absolutely pick a side.

Or the way I see it, trying to see multiple perspectives from either side of an argument.

I would think it's a good quality but I think also it pisses some people off

This is among the worst qualities any person could EVER have. Fence-sitting is worse than apathy. People who are fence-sitters literally need psychological counseling because it often leads to poor decision-making, poor choices in life, and a mind that never fully develops.
