Who will stop smoking in 2022?

@SW-User I know you are only kidding :D Let me say this though -

The first time someone tries to smoke, something weird happens. One's lungs actually flinch. No exaggeration.
That should have been enough of a sign for most of us smokers to give up right then and there.

@CestManan Vaping does that more for me than smoking. Now if I change how I inhale slightly with a vape, take it slightly less deeper, it disappears.

@CestManan Indeed, but there is compromises and understanding your desire of that said addiction. Some could call that negotiation, I would call it manipulating the demon inside you who is not infallible.

The only way to deal with it's sorry ass it to starve it.
Easier said than done. I know, I was off cigarettes for a year and a half and something happened and I used it as an excuse to say "hell with it" and here came my habit once again.

@CestManan Mmhmm, it can also be easy to lose sight if you leave that addiction in tact while moderating.

I have no idea now, when one time I did quit smoking.... I could party and smoke among friends. Then real life resumed and I had no craving. Surely led me to smoking again at some point in some way.
