Do Crystals and Special Jewelry Really Work?

Do these things actually protect you from evil and help you with things? I would think that it's more of a placebo because how can a rock help you feel anything? I'm legit asking what your experiences are, not criticizing.

I believe that 'belief' helps. Shamans used to hide really nasty looking stuff in their mouths, and do all kinds of mumbo jumbo for theatrics, then they would pretend to suck a person disease out through a straw. Then they would spit the awful looking stuff out of their mouths, and the 'patient' would see and believe and get better. Even modern medicine backs up the effectiveness of a placebo, or the power of suggestion. If you believe a crystal will do something somewhat intangible, it will! I mean you're not going to get a crystal to make a steamer trunk full of money fall out of the sky, but it will certainly improve your mood or improve your memory if you truly believe it will.

I think they do help somehow. Like for example, I was gifted an amber necklace. so i wore it and i dont know why but i just go tth einotion to start making hats for chemo patients, devoting a lot of time and a little bit of money into them to donate to the hospital. i read in a crystal healing book later that amber makes one feel altruistic. ive always believed in the healing power of crystals though since i got a rose quartz which supposedly promotes self-love and acceptance. i really felt like it helped with that when i wore it. i dont know how they work, but i think they often do.

I don't blame you.
It's the culture we live in.
But, seriously, learn to trust you gut on stuff like this.

Stones and gems can be pretty - but no, they can't help you feel things - unless they are thrown at you.
I don't know, but I would think they could help. Everything vibrates at it's own frequency, like different notes. Different crystals vibrate at different frequencies. When their frequency is in resonance with some direction you're wanting to take yourself, I can see how the crystal could be an adjunct to getting there. Additionally, crystals are living things. They continue to grow. So, just that the vibration of their living is in proximity to the vibration of YOUR living, might give their working credence.

I studied wicca since i was 16 years old im now 36.. And part of witch craft is mind power and how much you truly believe something will work if you really believe it will work it will but id you go into it with a skeptical mind chances are its not gonna work.. Alot of people dont understand that about witch craft

I can only say that they’ve never been something I’d relied on. (Though, when I think on it, I’ve never encountered evil; just messed up people)
I know people who wear those evil eye charms who are sure they do work.

I don’t pay attention to say-so anecdotes. My adage is: If it’s not science, it’s superstition. Take a look at the Baloney Detection Kit.
