@AdaXI I so agree with you. I thought the cartoon was overhyped too but all the people from my age loved it. When it comes to intros tough, a real gem.

I didn’t watch that anime as a kid but I came across it on Youtube 6-7 years ago. The music is awesome especially the orchestral, instrumental version (again 😅).

I watched a bit of the 1st episode if I recall correctly but it didn’t pique my interest. As an adult I can barely watch an anime that wasn’t part of my childhood. Is it any good?

@SW-User I kinda liked this, but I have to be honest, I've not seen this since I was a kid. I also was never able to find this for download in a good acceptable version. So my memory of it is realy distored. The art is really simple, but I like it a lot. If someone showed me this and asked me what country was behind it, I would guess "France". This just looks really french to me.

Yeah, Mendoza is quite the character, in the first episodes you might think that he's the antagonist. But he becomes a very likeable character as the story unfolds more and you learn more about the situation. It's always good to have characters that aren't all good or all bad, it's that conflict that makes them more human and intresting.

I watched way to much cartoons, because of my heavy allergies. I couldn't go out in certain seasons and I had to take an aerosol cure at least twice a days. So to keep me quiet, mom just put on the television. Since the dutch side of Belgian only had 2 channels at that time (and only 1 that broadcasted a few cartoons) I ended up watching French, German, English and Italian channels that happened to be on the cable. In France they had this incredible childrens' show called "Club Dorothée" which was just incredible. And is still a cult classic with people of my generation. They had so much cartoons that everyone found something. One of the funniest was "Nicki Larson", that came out as "City Hunter" in Japan.

@Longpatrol Well, I'm just talking about the intros. When it comes to actual content "Batman TAS" is my absolute number 1 when it comes from the US. It's just so good.

I recently saw a couple of reviews from "Gargoyles". A Disney series that I only saw episodes off in Italian and German. Considering I don't understand any Italian, I missed a lot. But reviews are really good. When I can download it, I'll watch it in English to figure out how I feel about it.

@Longpatrol Well, the german episodes were intresting. Considering I could actually have some understanding of what was going on. But it has really good reviews I just never saw the series as a coherent whole.

A friend of mine was obsessed with Visionairies, altough I thought that was kinda wonky.

@AdaXI yeah, but that intro has verry little going for it. Just like "RAMBO the force of freedom"
