Lilymoon · F

LunarOrbit · 56-60, M

Lilymoon · F
@LunarOrbit yeah good times 🤦♀
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
3.5 mile (5.6 km) bike ride to work, then that many back
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
@JohnnySpot the weather makes it really suck sometimes. I'm sure you'll know too
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
@caPnAhab I have to stop three times on the way there because it's all uphill.
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
@JohnnySpot thankfully my work is downhill. And I can take my dear sweet time going home
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
Depends on traffic. Anywhere from 20 min. to two hours but the average is 40 min each way
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
@Jenny1234 Two hours. Jeeze. What if you gotta go??!!
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@LunarOrbit I always go before I get in the car!
icedsky · 51-55, M
45 minutes most the time.
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
@icedsky Oh man. Sorry to hear. I hope the transition was smooth.
At least you got a nice retirement job. Clean…quiet…and no boss on nights :)

@LunarOrbit Was Pretty painless. They gave us a good severance package. Still in the same union and same pension making about the same per hour. Brought along another guy from the mill. He's the Swing Shift guy now. Better benefits. And Hundreds of Nurses to harass. I've been wondering why I didn't do this earlier.
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
@icedsky Excellent. I was gonna ask about the head nurses. 🫢
Glad it all worked out. Sounds like you got a dream job now. :)
(We recently got a new hospital here. The old hospital had a couple of boilers that required licensed operstors…the new hospital uses drumless boilers so no license is needed. So anybody can do that job and wages are terrible). You lucked out!

One hour in the AM. 1.5 hours in PM
@LunarOrbit yup
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
@Guardian wow. I couldnt do that
@LunarOrbit it was longer when I took public transit!
Pinkstarburst · 51-55, F
I can get there in 15 minutes if the train doesn’t pass through.
Maybe 25 feet.
Got tired of leasing so I had my shop build on the back of my property in a residential area. Since everything is shipped out, no customers ever come here to "pick-up" finished product (hence no zoning laws are broken).

@Threepio Smart!
Not long ...about 10 minutes
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
Only 10-15 mins.
It was an hour once upon a time in my life and then 45, then 30 and now if I can at all help it would not travel more than 15 three or less days a week.
