@LunarOrbit That's all changed. The mill shut down last August. I'm doing 8s all straight nights now. Working at A hospital. Babysitting Three 600 HP teeny tiny teakettles. No Turbines..No Hog Fuel. No Ash all over the damn place. Haven't even been set on fire a single time!!

@LunarOrbit Was Pretty painless. They gave us a good severance package. Still in the same union and same pension making about the same per hour. Brought along another guy from the mill. He's the Swing Shift guy now. Better benefits. And Hundreds of Nurses to harass. I've been wondering why I didn't do this earlier.

Glad it all worked out. Sounds like you got a dream job now. :)
(We recently got a new hospital here. The old hospital had a couple of boilers that required licensed operstors…the new hospital uses drumless boilers so no license is needed. So anybody can do that job and wages are terrible). You lucked out!
