@candycane With my mother she claimed taking notes in person was just an excuse by the boss to try to take advantage, her older sister was also a secretary and said she was being ridiculous, that what she saw in movies and tv was super rare, my aunt made about three times more because she knows shorthand and took personal notes, which gave her the good gig at a private law firm.
