My sense is the republicans are making fools of themselves at this point, and nothing will stop them from continuing. It's pure theatre, but most of what they are doing in Congress is pure theatre, so why not?

In 2019 Trump appointed John Durham to investigate the origins of the Trump Russia investigation and whether it was a cover for Biden crimes in Ukraine. After 4 years, Durham had two failed prosecutions and one guy doing a small amount of community service.
