Biden's victory this year is pretty lackluster overall; he was supposed to come out like 40 points ahead and he's barely scraping by. And like, of course he's getting more votes than Obama because the population is rising. 🙄 Plus, this is after 4 years of seeing who Trump really is.

The thing that isn’t right with this election is that a sitting president, at the age of 74, still hasn’t learned that in life you don’t always get what you want. That accepting the will of the people, and respecting their right to have every properly cast vote counted, is the adult way, not stamping your feet and squealing “poor me poor me” like a little kid in the school playground.

@MarmeeMarch Well, I think part of it is because there are just so many votes to be counted, mainly due to all the mail-in ballots cos of Covid. But I think this also happened at the last election. People just weren't focused on how long some of the results took because it was all over by then.

It's also the highest voter turnout in history. People are very unhappy and have spent the last year hammering the importance of voting. Trying to make it "cool."

I didn't see the numbers, but there was strong turnout, and our population is larger than ever. It's easier to break most votes totals when there are more potential voters.
