If you had anymore doubts that Elon is a world class shithead

In the space of 28 hours, he was asked by an employee with muscular dystrophy (who is a well known designer, SaaS expert and entrepreneur) whether he was fired. Elon continued to not only fire him, but mock his disability (and had a cohorts of his dick riders insulting him), then decided to rehire him.

He's such a crummy person it's pathetic. He has so much opportunity to effect positive change in this world being like the richest guy out there with so much influence, yet he has the mindset of a bratty child, on display time and again.

And then you'll have his army of bootlickers making excuses for him

@deadgerbil Meh, its no different than the people lauding Anthony Fauci, Bill Gates or George Soros. They are just as sleazy, manipulative, fake, and interested in promoting their cult of personalities and politics, no different than Musk.

The distinction isn;'t politics, its class. These guys have money, power, and connections that most people don't. That's what makes them who they are, not their political beliefs.
The reason why he rehired the fella was that the guy sold his company to Twitter years ago and part of his contract includes a huge severance package

Most of us venture through life learning what is right from wrong....For me, as a child that would mean getting a thick ear from my mother if she thought I hurt someone's feelings. This is clearly not what you do today but it did make me understand that I am not always right...We discipline our dearest loved ones today by different methods. If you have a social circle that will always tell you are right (even when you are not right) you will always think you are right, just like this fellow., and others.
@AndysAttic Very wise. 👍🏽

Greed is a very serious mental illness. He deserves our pity, not our support.
@hunkalove I can’t give him either, alas.
I shall be having a word with Mr. Musk later.

Elon is major trash
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
All of this was so crazy...I thought it was MS and not MD...either way...Elon got himself in some deep water and then backtracked because, if fired, Twitter would have to pay him millions according to the deal made when Twitter bought his company.

So before he realized this. Elon was dead set to fire him based on his disability...which is definitely illegal.
RoxClymer · 41-45, M
for a while I looked up to him, now I don't even care, not shocked.....just another rich(est) dickhead.
I just saw a documentary about him tonight…. He indeed is what you said he is…

The definition of a POS. And no, I don't mean strawberry.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
Yep.

He did also publically apologize to the guy and took ownership for his misperception of the situation.

But yeah, don't have a private work conversation in public is the lesson here.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@SumKindaMunster sure, he did. It was still a dipshit move. Not to mention Twitter mobile has outages at the moment. Even blue badge Twitter users couldn't see posts, only ads, because Elon forgot to pay for his APIs. How people think this dudes a genius is beyond me.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@basilfawlty89 I don't disagree that it was a dipshit move. Having a private discussion in public is always a dipshit move no matter who does it.
