I think the reason this "sinking of oil wells in Greenland" got started because only two days ago, Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that Canada is now taking a new direction of NOT supplying the USA with natural resources (like rare earth minerals) and crude oil, the latter of which Canada currently supplies the USA with 70% of their total annual oil requirement.
Understand that the USA has no more oil in the ground except those known deposits in Alaska which have been deemed 'emergency reserves' which means the US is wholly dependent on Canada and Venezuela to supply the US refineries with crude. That's about to get cut off by Canada.
What is also about to get cut off by Canada is Canada supplying the USA with electricity from east to west, from north to south. Canada has been generating nuclear power for the USA for several years now and sending it south across the border, but that's about to come to an end if Free Trade between the two countries doesn't resume and all the tariff bullshitte is brought to a halt immediately.
Don't worry about Greenland...😆 ...there is zero infrastructure for oil extraction in Greenland right now and the USA doesn't have enough money to create that infrastructure even if it had permission by Greenland to drill, which would be a project that would take 20 years to complete if started today before the first drop of oil got sent to market.
Keep in mind that Americans have no clue how to survive in the High Arctic and even as we speak, Canadian Armed Forces personnel stationed in Antartica are teaching American Servicemen how to live in that environment... and from what I've been reading up here, it isn't going well.
@SW-User I was going to call that idiotic, but it would be an insult to idiots.

@TheHammer where am i wrong show me how little of history you understand
there's literally not one example of that. Democrats have been in ties with the mafia and those "elites" since prohibition. The Italian mob rigged the election for Kennedy and supplied weapons for the bay of pig invasion. They assassinated him after his brother betrayed them.
If that actually occurred, I would ask its legal status.
Taking equipment to a foreign country without that country's permission, to use it without permission to explore for minerals which, if proven, would be the property of the country holding it, not that of the exploration company's shareholders. Even if the shareholders include presidents.
The sort of thing European nations did in the 17th - 19th Centuries, when they were building empires.
By the way, Greenland is not as "vast" as we are led to believe by most published maps. The Mercator Projection most often used, tends to elongate high-latitude land.
@ArishMell Sadly that has never been a concern in the US. Even before the invasion in 2003 Carlisle Group held a big conference of various US companies where they discussed how they were going to carve up Iraq.
The name "Carlisle Group" rang bells for me, then I recalled what that disreputable bunch of mere money-traders meant in Britain.
Back in the 1990s the UK's Labour Governments under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, enthusiastically continued the previous Conservative government's selling or closing of State assets; a policy with no understanding and care for their purpose and value to the nation, and for the buyer.
Among these was The Ministry of Defence's R&D establishments. The majority was privatised as the bizarrely-named QinetiQ*.
A small section was preserved as a Civil Service, hence independant, link between the defence trade and government.
Carlisle was involved in the sale although fortunately did not buy QinetiQ itself. Instead it acted as "consultants" who greatly under-valued the assets to benefit the potential buyers. The sale gave two men, the "Chief Executive Officer" and the "Finance Officer" enormous shares options but more seriously, generally hoodwinked the Government into ripping off the tax-payers who had previously funded the facilities. This was raised in Parliament but presumably by then the damage had been done, presumably with a handsome fee to Carlisle for having been asked by a British government to interfere in British state assets.
Ironically the main opponents to the sale included the US Government, horrified by the UK's government turning a major UK State asset supporting the Armed Forces, into a publicly-owned company with dangerously high risks of loss of political independance, acccountability and ownership identity.
So not welcome in the UK, then, is the Carlisle Group.
I did not know, but am not surprised, it wanted to take over and exploit Iraq. I wonder how much Carlisle knew of the Gulf War planning before anyone else outside the US Government and Armed Services, did.
Are the same spivs enmeshed in Trump's crude attempts to steal Greenland?

*(The name was a play on the word "kinetic", and pronounced so. I gather the newly sold-off employees had a devil of a time trying to teach their banks, insurance companies etc. how to spell and pronouce their new employer's name. The "branding consultants" even persuaded QinetiQ to buy a costly "corporate font" virtually identical to the sans-serif Verdana and Ariel already on everyone's computers anyway. So much for "consultants", and directors daft enough to believe in them!)
@KunsanVeteran he wouldn't be the only one. While this is important we also have to keep in mind to watch out for other people like the CEOs and others who wanted that. If it wasn't for the large companies pushing money for it then there would be way less of this stuff happening.
@Muthafukajones Well one striking difference is that Demented Donnie is 1000 times more evil, 10,000 more demented, and 1 million times more lawless than Saddam Hussein, KJU, Putin, MBS, and Netanyahu all rolled into ONE!!!
This is more powerful than trump combined with extraterrestrials. Did you know this.
