The US used to rank no. 1 in education world-wide. Insert Jimmy Carter and the DOE in 1979. The US now spends more per student than any other country and in 45 years, goes from 1st to last among westernized nations.
Given the US spends so much, how is it that teachers complain about having to pay for school supplies out of their own pockets?
The DOE is another federal grift. May it rest in pieces.
