@soar2newhighs OK. Money got into the political system at all levels, and bought influence. This happened on the right at first, but its imbedded in both sides equally now. This showed up in protectionism, and subsidies and eroded competition on the world stage. The corruption got into contracting at all levels and effected quality on critical projects. (Challengers solid rocket fuel boosters were made in pieces due to a political decision to contract to a "donor" ) Then Money demanded less regulation and less tax and the new world order was born. Of course I am only hitting the high points here. Wherever you get people, you see them looking after their own interests..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman The “people” are guys like myself and women too who are the pawns in games played by governments and IMHO those who own our and other world Governments.
Money and politicians= a John and his prostitute. Both get what they want. This is and has been a sickness in our nation for God only knows how long. The tragedy is much of this has cost us in treasures of people in our involvement in wars and conflicts we do not need to be in. But it states the military/ industrial complex.
I say this and that is…the nations that have benefited from and relied on the U.S. need to realize the sun is setting on that.

@soar2newhighs We absolutely agree in all this.. And having gone this far I will say that a lot of the greed sown in America by the rich is short sighted. Instead of having a herd of animals they could shear, milk and breed from they are slaughtering the herd for the short term gain and will be left with little..😷

However, to approach your point directly. I am not in a position to judge his sanity or mental accuity. And while I agree my spelling (or typography) fails me from time to time, that doesnt excuse his.. That would be like saying just because Joe Biden committed a crime, Donald Trump should be allowed to get away with anything he did. You wouldnt want that. Would you?😷

@Jackaloftheazuresand "The other" isnt running the trial as much as Trump wants you to think they are. Conceivably they MIGHT be running the DOJ and therefore the prosecution. However, they are bound by the rules of evidence, court procedure and the the judge..😷

@LeopoldBloom I don’t think he would shut down the internet. He uses it a lot for his own purposes. I just think he would try to punish tech companies that he doesn’t like somehow. Probably would somehow try to force them to allow hard right/alt right messaging content on their platforms.

@LeopoldBloom He couldnt. And if he managed it, the US economy would collapse.Almost all US commerce relies on internet connections . From banks and ATMs to Fed Ex and Amazon tracking..But like most things, he hasnt throught it through..😷

@RockerDad I cant argue with that. Considering how little Trump and the Republicans actually achieved (other than tax cuts for the rich) last time, I dont think most Americans are in danger from any Trump "action". But rather from his inaction when responding to the problems that arise while in office. Covid was a rather extreme example. But more Americans died per capita than any other developed nation and sometimes by a factor of four. Through failure to react appropriately. Of course... That could never happen again. Could it?😷
