One for all the Trump supporters to think on

One of Trumps former serious staffers has stated that he believes Trump could shut down the internet if elected..I wont editorialize. Just read it yourselves and decided what you would do with all that free time. I will say that by my calculations, within weeks and "America Free" internet would be up and running in some form..😷

I do love me some good fear mongering
@Tetsuya then the republican party is perfect for you. They have something new to be terrified about every week. Gays, trans people, immigrants, gun control, space lasers, "censorship", socialism, M&Ms becoming less sexy, ...

@NerdyPotato the complete bullshit each party makes up about the other is highly entertaining, you have to pay attention to both of them
the Libertarians are good for some comedic realeif as well
@Tetsuya none of that was made up though. I heard about the fear and anger about all those things from republicans first hand.
@NerdyPotato Remember: you were made aware of a blunder by Joe Biden and Covid. I made you aware of it. So be mindful of what you “ hear” from any political side. Could quickly lead you down the primrose lane.

@soar2newhighs Hmm. "Blunder.....Joe Biden.... Covid...." One of these seems out of place.. Cant quite put my finger on it..😷
@soar2newhighs you also said you didn't expect me to hear every single speech. If I had, I'd have been aware that was an overstatement. I've done quite a bit of research on Covid, and by that I don't mean listen to governments.
@whowasthatmaskedman Joe stood before the American people, if not the world and told us…if we took the Covid vaccine we would not get Covid. Now, that said, the same man took the vaccination and still got Covid.
The blunder was him letting his battleship mouth overload his rowboat ass! He did not have the expertise to utter such a statement. He probably took advice to say it. But he’s a puppet and is manipulated.
@NerdyPotato Good for you. I’m impressed.

@soar2newhighs OK. Point to you: Here is the full quote from a live interview a couple of years ago..."Well, the virus -- look, it's real simple. We have a pandemic for those who haven't gotten a vaccination. It's that basic, that simple. Ten thousand people have recently died; 9,950 of them, thereabouts, are people who hadn't been vaccinated.

This is a simple, basic proposition. If you're vaccinated, you're not going to be hospitalized, you're not going to be in an ICU unit, and you are not going to die.

[...]

But, again, one last thing. We don't talk enough to you about this, I don't think. One last thing that's really important is, we're not in the position where we think that any virus, including the Delta virus, which is much more transmissible and more deadly in terms of unvaccinated people, the -- the various shots that people are getting now cover that. You're OK. You're not going to -- you're not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations."

Clearly he misstated the efficacy of the vaccines in the final statement, although he seems to understand it in the earlier ones. But well spotted. You caught him in a "lie" once a couple of years ago. But do you really want to step out on Donalds thin ice of Covid to go looking for things like that?
😷
@whowasthatmaskedman It wasn’t a lie. It was a blunder by him saying that. With him I suspect he took talking points or went off on his own. But the attached meme is very much on point as there are as Captain Bligh
of the Bounty espoused, “ rumblings’ are there?”
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@soar2newhighs Not really sure where you are going with that. But for the record I do feel some empathy for the American voters. We can argue back and forth to why. But you really do face a frying pan/fire option as it stands now..😷
@soar2newhighs there's only been one presidential election since it started, and it didn't stop afterwards, so what are you talking about? Besides, if you think every country in the world is going to kill its people and their economy to influence the US elections you may want to get checked for grandiose delusions.
@whowasthatmaskedman IMO it depends on the American people and how and where they want our country to go.
There are those who have disdain for Trump as there are for Biden.
And if you missed it, Biden did say every legal means would be used to keep Trump from being re-elected.
As for me should it come down to Biden vs. Trump, I will vote for Trump.
@NerdyPotato I have no idea what the hell you’re trying to say.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@soar2newhighs Thats your vote and your right of course. In the big picture I dont think it will change much in world outcomes. But Its no secret I dont think much of Americas future for a generation or two..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman Neither do many remaining Americans. Like a teacher said circa 64 or 65 that the US was on the same road to decline as the Roman Empire.
The sadness of it is our country by world standards is young.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@soar2newhighs True.. But from WW2 to the Moon Landings it burned so bright..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman Something infected our nation and the fabric of it.
When this country finally becomes a second or 3rd world country, the rest of you are screwed
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@soar2newhighs I agree entirely.. And I could state my case for what it is. But we are getting along so well ...........😷
@whowasthatmaskedman state your case.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@soar2newhighs OK. Money got into the political system at all levels, and bought influence. This happened on the right at first, but its imbedded in both sides equally now. This showed up in protectionism, and subsidies and eroded competition on the world stage. The corruption got into contracting at all levels and effected quality on critical projects. (Challengers solid rocket fuel boosters were made in pieces due to a political decision to contract to a "donor" ) Then Money demanded less regulation and less tax and the new world order was born. Of course I am only hitting the high points here. Wherever you get people, you see them looking after their own interests..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman The “people” are guys like myself and women too who are the pawns in games played by governments and IMHO those who own our and other world Governments.
Money and politicians= a John and his prostitute. Both get what they want. This is and has been a sickness in our nation for God only knows how long. The tragedy is much of this has cost us in treasures of people in our involvement in wars and conflicts we do not need to be in. But it states the military/ industrial complex.
I say this and that is…the nations that have benefited from and relied on the U.S. need to realize the sun is setting on that.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@soar2newhighs We absolutely agree in all this.. And having gone this far I will say that a lot of the greed sown in America by the rich is short sighted. Instead of having a herd of animals they could shear, milk and breed from they are slaughtering the herd for the short term gain and will be left with little..😷
