So I read a claim that Bragg is “stalling” Trump’s trial until January 2024

It was of course from a disreputable source, so I don’t buy it, but is it refutable? I mean, I imagine it’s just that the legal process, which neither I nor the vast majority of Americans understand, takes time, which broad ignorance Trump supporters would use to their advantage and say, “Oh yeah, likely story. How can you not see that this is a nakedly political witch hunt?”

Is there a more solid explanation?

The District Attorney (Bragg) doesn't set the schedule; the court does. Either side could have requested an earlier or later trial date (the Court does not have to comply), but neither side did. This is a money-making scheme to get "the base" to donate, so it only financially benefits their Cry-Baby hero to delay this as long as possible.
@MarkPaul Ohhh...a money making scheme? Wow...so Bragg is actually working for Trump as a double agent, and the indictment is a clever way of fund raising for Trump? That's f***ing brilliant!
🤣🤣🤣
