So I read a claim that Bragg is “stalling” Trump’s trial until January 2024

It was of course from a disreputable source, so I don’t buy it, but is it refutable? I mean, I imagine it’s just that the legal process, which neither I nor the vast majority of Americans understand, takes time, which broad ignorance Trump supporters would use to their advantage and say, “Oh yeah, likely story. How can you not see that this is a nakedly political witch hunt?”

Is there a more solid explanation?

Bragg wants the trial duing the primary election season to try to hurt Trump's chances of getting the nomination

@HoraceGreenley That’s the obvious implication. I think the real reason is simply that the legal process is very complicated and takes a lot of time, but of course that sounds weak because the legal system is so damn complicated that I don’t know how it works, and probably most Americans don’t have any more clue than I do. Your argument has superficial plausibility and opportunistically takes advantage of widespread ignorance about America’s legal system.

@JPWhoo LOL, that bullschiff allegations were said to occur in 2016, what took alvin and the ny chipmunks so long to file?

@JPWhoo Balony...8 months from arraignment to 1st hearing and 9 months to trial?
Only a partisan would buy that

@HoraceGreenley Bragg didn’t set the calendar, the judge did. I feel like this has been said on my posts enough times you probably already knew that, you’re just being obtuse; furthermore, New York State law guarantees Trump the right to request a speedier trial if he wants it, but he apparently doesn’t want it because he hasn’t requested it, he’d rather feed his blind followers this “Bragg is stalling” baloney and fundraise off of y’all’s willful ignorance.

@JPWhoo I have a bridge in Brooklyn I can sell you

@HoraceGreenley I have a sharp, pointy carrot shaped like your butt hole I can sell you.

@JPWhoo Obviously you don't know the reference. WTF?
JPWhoo · 36-40, MVIP
@HoraceGreenley I’m pretty sure I get it. Basically you’re saying I’m gullible, a rube. I’ll admit I don’t know why you chose Brooklyn in particular for the site of the bridge, unless maybe because Trump’s trial is in or at least near there.

@JPWhoo You never herad the expression about selling the Brooklyn bridge?
