So I read a claim that Bragg is “stalling” Trump’s trial until January 2024

It was of course from a disreputable source, so I don’t buy it, but is it refutable? I mean, I imagine it’s just that the legal process, which neither I nor the vast majority of Americans understand, takes time, which broad ignorance Trump supporters would use to their advantage and say, “Oh yeah, likely story. How can you not see that this is a nakedly political witch hunt?”

Is there a more solid explanation?

Yup, alvin and the chipmunks in ny need more time to invent more bullschiff allegations
JPWhoo · 36-40, M
@sunsporter1649 They don’t need more time to “invent” more allegations, I think 34 felony charges is enough.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@JPWhoo What felonies?
JPWhoo · 36-40, M
@sunsporter1649 Seriously? They’re for tax fraud. What Trump did that was illegal was he paid Stormy Daniels hush money to stay quiet about the affair they had, then he put it down as a campaign contribution on his taxes so he would get a deduction. That’s the big picture. I have a life, you’re not going to bother me to go spend a few hours reading what each of the 34 felony charges are about specifically.
@JPWhoo Sunstroke deliberately pretends anything Trump does wrong or is charged with doesn't exist because of his feelings.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@JPWhoo Since when are non-disclosure agreements hush money, about something that both parties agree never happened?
@sunsporter1649 Must be a full time job being this dumb on purpose.
@sunsporter1649 NDAs don't usually include massive checks with money misused from a political campaign. But I guess for a criminal simp like you that is considered "nomal."
JPWhoo · 36-40, M
@sunsporter1649 You can call them whatever you want, they’re illegal because he used campaign funds to make them and then tried to get a tax deduction for them. Both parties do not agree they never happened, that’s why Daniels intends to testify at the trial.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Keep trying to sell that bridge, somebody might buy it someday
@sunsporter1649 I could sell it to you. Right wingers will buy anything.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow He does have some helpers. There’s a lot of bull shit to collate.
@sunsporter1649 You're barking up the wrong tree, sporty!

Trump's 34 felonies are for falsifying business records. Why would he do that? Doesn't matter! it's a crime!!

Trump's affair with Stormy was not against the law. Hush money "settlements" aren't necessarily against the law. BUT.

Falsifying business records IS against the law. What Trump failed to learn from Nixon is this: it ain't the crime, it's the COVERUP!!!

@ElwoodBlues LOL, still trying to sell that bridge? You and I both know it's not a felony to pay legal bills, and 2016 was a long time ago, the statue of limitations has long expired. That bridge you are trying to sell is about three bricks shy of holding up to a gentle breeze

@sunsporter1649 Oh and Trump paying bills is a great joke. That is not a thing.
