Thoughts on Trump from someone who knew him in the past
From a person I know for the last 25 years.
An extremely personal note, fair enough?
In my secular life, I was for many years a registered Republican. In that status, I served this nation as a U.S. Senate investigator, and a staff member to Sen. William Armstrong, of Colorado, then Chairman of the Republican National Policy Commitee. I ended my career as Chief of Staff in the Mayor’s Office of the City of Las Vegas, and that is where I first met Donald Trump.
What’s he like in person? Like every other celebrity airhead. Nothing special there at all. His humor is sadistic in nature, preoccupied with sexual adventure and other people’s money. No grace, no courtesy, no depth. A world class grifter and lifelong thief.
Today, I am no longer in government, and no longer involved in Republican politics. Indeed, for the past fifteen years I have been a registered Democrat. Why? Because the Republican Party I knew ceased to exist. Men of principle were replaced by tawdry whores who disconnected democracy in service to oligarchs. I want no part of it.
When I first heard Trump was running for President, I quite naturally assumed it was another stunt. I thought it was a joke. Don the Con didn’t have the horsepower to run a casino, much less a nation.
It isn’t a joke anymore. Now it is a national disgrace. I am shocked by how boldly he has set about dismantling the country. He gets away with it because of a “base” that defines cognitive dissonance, and illustrates ignorance at its most dangerous level. He’s been cultivating them for years, via common pageants, staged wrestling, tabloid newspapers, “reality” television, and all the rest. Public amusements and predilections of angry people with small minds. The very same social sectors cultivated by KGB propagandists.
We are now terribly divided but we are not yet conquered. It is extremely important that we not only get rid of Don the Con, but of every single one of his associates. The whole crew needs to be indicted. The list of federal laws they have broken is long indeed.
I’m going to vote for Biden. We need somebody who understands government, not a corrupt poseur. I’m encouraging you to do the same. I want you involved and active. To clean up this country of foreign influence we need to get rid of the Republicans, who are so compromised by KGB money they are barely Americans anymore.
And now the sad part. I don’t think it will happen. I think Trump will win. I think that deck is already stacked. Four more years and you won’t even recognize yourself anymore, much less the nation. That’s because his base will get out and vote, and we won’t. We’ll bog down, falter, and lose it all.
I’m quite ill these days, and elderly. I’m writing this from a hospital bed. I won’t have much longer to address the world but most of you will. I encourage you to choose a better future for yourselves. Like the man said, we are so much better than this. At least we ought to be.
Send the thieves a big message, won’t you? Don’t get distracted.
