And the fun with Alex Jones just doesn't stop

Along with being ordered to pay $4 million in compensatory damages to the Sandy Hook parents he harmed (and that doesn't include punitive damages, which could be much higher), Alex Jones' phone is just the gift that keeps on giving. After his attorney incompetently sent the phone to opposing counsel, exposing Jones to perjury charges after testifying under oath that there were no texts concerning Sandy Hook, reportedly, child porn images were also found on the phone and turned over to the FBI.

Lawyers representing families of Sandy Hook massacre victims who are suing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones said they received child pornography in documents they were sent by the Infowars founder, according to court papers filed Monday in Connecticut.

Consultants working with the lawyers discovered the images in the documents that were requested during a court hearing in April, the filing states. A lawyer representing the families immediately alerted the FBI, according to the filing.

“The FBI advised counsel that its review located numerous additional illegal images, which had apparently been sent to Infowars email address,” the filing says.

"Intimate messages" between Jones and Trump operative Roger Stone have reportedly also been found on the phone, but this hasn't been confirmed...yet.

I have suspected this for years.

He has repeatedly accused people he dislikes, like Hilary Clinton and Robert Mueller, of being involved with pedophilia. This struck me long ago as being an obsession of his. It seemed to me that a plausible explanation was that he himself was a pedophile.

And now the compensatory damages are in--$45.2 million on top of the $4.1 million in direct damages from yesterday, bringing the two-day total compensation to $49.3 million.
@windinhishair Let me get out my violin. Oh wait, never mind, it's too small and I can't find it.

@MalteseFalconPunch Great post and probably the most valuable observations I'm likely to come across today. I certainly appreciate the clarification and the opportunity to learn something new which is my main reason for being here. Stay safe, stay healthy bud.

@MalteseFalconPunch You're right, it is from a few years ago, but I'm not buying the "but officer, that's not my weed, I don't know how it got there" defense.

Waiting to see what happens to the lawyers. From one view they are guilty of malfeasance and malpractice, subject to disbarment. They could argue that as officers of the court they could not knowingly countenance perjury by their client, but they didn't bring it to the court -- they sent it to the prosecutors -- so they also are guilty of suborning perjury, contempt of court, and other penalties from the bench despite having done justice a good deed.

@windinhishair Yeah, found it. I also just got some clip from youtube and the additional part wasn't clear. thx.
@Kwek00 Appeal isn't automatic. He's also expressed contempt for the legal process and repeatedly insulted the judge, and judges tend to not like that.

@LeopoldBloom I'm aware that appeal isn't automatic. Doesn't mean that you still need to keep in mind that this verdict isn't final until people choose not to use the apeal, or can't apeal anymore.

@Ynotisay The only thing better than prison for this balloonhead would be if he has to spend the rest of his life living in a cardboard box.
