Along with being ordered to pay $4 million in compensatory damages to the Sandy Hook parents he harmed (and that doesn't include punitive damages, which could be much higher), Alex Jones' phone is just the gift that keeps on giving. After his attorney incompetently sent the phone to opposing counsel, exposing Jones to perjury charges after testifying under oath that there were no texts concerning Sandy Hook, reportedly, child porn images were also found on the phone and turned over to the FBI.

Lawyers representing families of Sandy Hook massacre victims who are suing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones said they received child pornography in documents they were sent by the Infowars founder, according to court papers filed Monday in Connecticut.

Consultants working with the lawyers discovered the images in the documents that were requested during a court hearing in April, the filing states. A lawyer representing the families immediately alerted the FBI, according to the filing.

“The FBI advised counsel that its review located numerous additional illegal images, which had apparently been sent to Infowars email address,” the filing says.

"Intimate messages" between Jones and Trump operative Roger Stone have reportedly also been found on the phone, but this hasn't been confirmed...yet.

@Kwek00 The initial and direct damages were $4.1 million and were awarded yesterday, which is what the OP was referring to. Punitive damages were assessed today and were an additional $45.2 million.

@windinhishair btw? Any source on that "additional" part? Because how we got it over here, it was 4,1 million, and the other two questions delivered 20,5 million each (41 in total) ... so it comes to a total of 45,2.

@Kwek00 Appeal isn't automatic. He's also expressed contempt for the legal process and repeatedly insulted the judge, and judges tend to not like that.

@LeopoldBloom I'm aware that appeal isn't automatic. Doesn't mean that you still need to keep in mind that this verdict isn't final until people choose not to use the apeal, or can't apeal anymore.
