Do the small things excite you sometimes?

The other day I was walking in a store and this attractive guy was two aisles over from me, near the end cap. He looked at me briefly and a minute later when I was right next to him , strolling by, he gave me a big smile. He was really cuteeee🥰 I was kind of half smiling, but because I was going by fairly quickly I didn't get a chance to return the smile fully. I hate that!!! Plus occasionally I just look down because I'm so fucking shy. But it felt so good in that moment. Being someone panicked about dating, feeling not enough, for a smile to occur from a cute guy? Made my WEEK!!!!💓🥹

Now if he talked to me I would have been incredibly nervous. That's what I need to change. I'm tired of being scared of love or if I'm enough. But that day, I was really happy.

Good experience! I remember how good it made my wife feel when we would see somebody at the mall or in a restaurant and they would comment on how much they appreciated her treatment of them in the doctor's office. She made it a point to know all the patients and remembered their "ailments" and the results of their treatment. I was proud of her.

What a lovely moment for you. Remember the good bits and don't overthink what you should or could have done. It was what it was, so enjoy it.
Maybe go back there same aisle, same day, same time next week? 🙂

@anglais Ty my friend. He had such a kind smile too. Most people as handsome as him don't seem so friendly, more Egoic. But he had warm aura. I hope I see him again, I should go back lol

It's mostly the small things that excite me. A gentle smile, a compliment on my earrings, a small piece of a grand park that is so beautiful and unexpected that it brings tears to my eyes, the sight of a bee industriously collecting nectar and pollen.

That sounds very sweet.

First snow of the season usually does that to me. I'm still like a kid about it, lol.
Fate brings people into our lives for a reason. Whether it be a shy smile or a quick glance, it makes for an unforgettable moment. Who knows maybe it will happen again very soon.

@phoenixrising I do hope So...☺
An unexpected smile from an attractive stranger is one of the best feelings I can think of.

This happens to me sometimes too, especially when I'm at the organic food or vegan section.
I feel happy for you this happened.

@onrealityofdreams Ty Friend 🪻
@Coralmist You're welcome, friend. I feel this won't be the last time it happens.
JohnnyNoir · 61-69, M
You can't keep passing up these opportunities. Smile back, it's easy
anglais · 51-55, M
@JohnnyNoir that's a rather simplistic and unhelpful comment. Telling her what she can and cant do and then belittling her capabilities. I bet youre one if those blokes who tells women theyd look so much better if they smiled.
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@JohnnyNoir Well it's not easy when you feel devoid of being a human. They think they're looking at a person, but they're not. Not a full person .
But I was half smiling as I mentioned above thank goodness, I just didn't get to fully grin. But he surely made my day. My week ! What I need also is to practice talking to guys more too. That makes me so nervous especially if they're attractive 😫

@anglais get bent. Coralmist and I go back a long way and she knows where I'm coming from

Smiles from cute strangers are always a sweet surprise
JoyfulSilence · 51-55, M
Were you near the cucumber aisle?

Was he looking for melons?

Did you want to peel his banana?

Did he want a slice of pie?

Did he have a sweet six pack (of Pepsi?)?

Was he craving freshly baked buns? For his hot dog?

🤪
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@JoyfulSilence I was in an Ocean state Job Lot, a store with some food but mainly garden, household items etc
JoyfulSilence · 51-55, M
@Coralmist

So, you wanted to put him in a pot and take him home.

And mist him daily.

Aww, but he does sound like the kind of bold man you probably need
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
Can you get a job working with the public? that might really help you come out of your shyness
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@Jenny1234 I get hypervgilant from PTSD with too many people unfortunately
wonder why these boys don't make a move
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@StygianKohlrabi They can probably sense my shyness. But it's probably hard to start a conversation as I'm walking. I almost am glad they didn't make a movei get so nervous it's absurd
